hail to the freezer gods

I have a bit of a problem. My freezer section on my fridge is a bit too small. Why? Well, let me explain.

Eating a lot of meat is expensive, to say the least. I also discovered that the portions I eat for lunch and dinner (especially lunch) have rather exploded in size. Not because of the meat, but rather the amount of vegetables added to them.

Given those facts, I started to scan the advertisings of the local grocery store; something I thought I’d never do. But if meat, fish or even vegetables are on promotion … pay attention. Most of those will keep perfectly – as is – in the freezer. However, I started to prepare lunch boxes for the coming few weeks and freeze those. Hassle free lunch and I always know what is in them.

So the better part of a few Sunday evenings is reserved for cooking. I usually go for 3 to 4 different dishes to keep the variety. If you keep a schedule, you will never run out of lunch boxes. Keeping to starch-free food will become a lot easier too. However, my freezer is too small. And you will notice that too.
