Well. I lied. Apparently.
Could actually also have something to do with the fact that I LOOKED at the recipe (even read it) and then decided to EXPERIMENT. Granted, it was supposed to be a test and all.
So here is the recipe.
- 125g almond flour
- 125g coconut flour
- 50g butter
- 30g honey
- pinch of salt
Like I said. THAT was the recipe. Along the way I also added milk to the mixture. Why? Mom would say I lack patience when baking (and she is probably right). I, however, say it is a perfect solution to a rather crumbly dough.
I wanted to roll the dough out to use Christmas-y biscuit cutters, but instead I resorted to making small-ish round objects. Don’t get me wrong … they are edible, but they are incredibly dry. You need a gallon of tea or coffee to get them down. Not ideal for a wonderfully relaxing Christmas.
Maybe I try and add patience (instead of milk) next time.
