choose wisely, he said

“We all have our destinies”, he said, ” but few of us will choose to follow on its path.”

“Will you?”

You, humans, are weird that way, he thought and said it out loud. “Weird.” You will choose to walk a path, for an eternity of years, just to discover at the end of it waits regret, waits loneliness, and a wasteland of opportunities. You will beg and cry and plead; start over and follow a different path … just to discover that, what waits, is still the same.

But you forget there is something to be had. In an ordinary form hides the most amazing gift and it shines brighter than anything you can ever imagine. Though few of you will ever care to see the truth in happiness.

So; the question is: “Will you settle to have what you don’t want?”

“Choose wisely; for at the end, I will want to hear your answer.”
