There are things that are better left to others. Crochet is one of those. At least for me.

I cannot fathom how anyone can have the patience when it comes to making a granny square blanket. But, as I have been told on numerous occasions: “you cannot say ‘I do not like this or that’ if you haven’t tried it.”.

But crochet should come with a warning sign. After crocheting 195 small granny squares, assembling all of them into a bigger rectangle and adding a border … I can honestly say: “Never Again!“

Nevertheless, the little girl that wanted something made by me (in colours white, green and pretty pink) is happy with the result. So, I am happy too.

I might have to reconsider my “Never Again!” if someone with big blue puppy eyes is coming along asking for something in pretty colours. But for now, I’ll stick to knitting.
