Once upon a time, there was a little girl. Besides the usual wishes that little girls have, she wanted an older brother. Everyone else had one, so she should have one too. In fact, that little girl specifically ordered an older brother …
What I got was a grumpy looking, wrinkly little sister with a red face. And a rather loud wail thrown into the bargain. I was not impressed. But with time, she got less wrinkly and I grew rather attached to her. “You may look at her from afar, but NO TOUCHING.” (as the story goes).
Turns out I got my favourite sister of all time. (She would argue that I got my only sister, but who would listen.) Sorry for all the bruises, cuts and experiences you had to endure because of my silly ideas. You had many of your own and it made us who we are.
So, here’s to sisters, brothers, friends, soul mates and all those that we hold dear.
And no, I am not really sorry for all the stupid things we did together. I heartily consent to us doing loads more.
